Nostalgia - Byler
It's the summer of 1986 Will Byers is currently living in California with his mother, sister and brother. He constantly feels lonely due to his friends being in Hawkins and the fact he feels so out of place in this city. Mike wheeler is in Hawkins living his usual life with those closest to him, although the only difference is his girlfriend and best friend aren't with him. After months of sent letters and no reply, Will decides to try and move on. By doing this a new person grabs his attention meaning Mike is slowly leaving his thoughts. When Mike starts to notice wills lack of letters and lack of constant phone calls, he decides to take a trip to California to see what's going on. How will this turn out? Will the two friends get on? Or will the whole trip be filled with jealousy? And this time, not from will.

An alternate version of what happens between Mike and Will in season 3 ep 3 it will slightly follow the storyline of some episodes after that then onto season 4. Should I Stay or Should I Go -- Byler
After a long and grueling friendship of secret one-sided love, William Byers is ready to give up on Mike as Mike finally begins to discover his true feelings. However, Will is soon taken into custody by his father, Lonnie, and is taken far away from Hawkins. Mike must come to terms with his own emotions and find his best friend. Can they survive together or get burnt by love? I hate to say that I have stopped writing this fic of Wattpad and have moved to A03 where I am currently rewriting it. I would love it if you read my retelling there! I would like to say though, if you want an incomplete ending, the first part is finished here. My story on A03 is the same title and Authors Name as on here. Love to see you there! Edit--4/10/24 I had taken this fic down for a while and spontaneously decided to put it back up. I wrote this at a very different point in my life and am not necessarily planning on returning to this story on A03 or Wattpad, however, the first section is complete and has a semi-definitive ending. If you decide to read the rest (aka S2), you will just need to leave a lot to imagination. I am reuploading this tonight at 8:00PM EST.
