One virus turned to two which turned to four, and before they knew it there were too many to prepare for. Each new strand mutated and became its own new virus and spread more easily than the first. The Walking Corpse virus was the deadliest one, the one that took everyone by surprise. 

Laura and her family held up in their apartment until supplies ran out, forcing them outside for the first time since the virus took over.
