SYNOPSIS

This time, there is only one box on the stage. And when I look back to Alex, I see his eyes darken as he runs his tongue over his lips. His gaze flicks to me, but this time, it was full of something else. Nervousness? But why would he be nervous. I decided to ignore him as I turned my gaze back to the glass box.

The black curtains get pulled aside, revealing a brunette. I look back to my watch to see the time when I realize what I just saw. She seemed familiar. I look back to see the girl struggling with the ropes tied around her hands, but they cover her face. Despite her face being covered, the men erupt in laughter and clink their glasses together, already bidding.

The host moves to unfasten the ropes as I look desperately for a small look at her face. She rushes out as her eyes widen, and when they look around, they settle on mine. The same brown eyes. The same black veil of hair. The same lips. The same... girl. Sofia?
