Moving into the small town of Hawkins during her sophomore year of high school wasn't a treat, but she didn't let it ruin her spirits too much. In fact, she even made some new friends along the way. Granted, most of them were in middle school and were major nerds, but that didn't bother her. She even joined in on some of their DnD campaigns whenever they invited her. It was fun, that was until one of the kids, Will, went missing. Along the way to finding him, (Y/N) befriends some people from her own school, including the goody-two-shoes Nancy Wheeler, and her boyfriend, Steve "The Hair" Harrington. She never really understood why everyone was obsessed with Steve. Or was everyone obsessed with his hair? She never knew. He could be a real asshole sometimes, too. But for whatever reason, she finds herself becoming closer with him the more they hang out. Maybe the king himself wasn't all too bad. - I've rewritten this book as I didn't like the plot all too much! You can find it on my profile titled "Waiting For A Girl Like You". "Okay, stop," Steve puts his index finger in the air like he's just had a revolutionary idea. "Oooh, how about 'Gwenola'?" He raises his eye brows for emphasis. "'Pengwen'. 'Pengwen' is fine," Gwen chuckles. Steve smiles. "Good to know!" - Gwen Henderson was given another chance at life when she was 13 years old. Adopted by Claudia Henderson, she was finally able to be a somewhat normal teenager. She had a loving family, an annoyingly adorable little brother, and a fresh reputation at school. She seemed to get on with the new lifestyle great as well. She got along with the small family, and even got along with her adoptive brothers friends. And although this may sound great to any other normal teen, Gwen was still ridden with the trauma and guilt of her past. Sleepless nights were a common occurrence, as were the nightmares that had her jolting up in bed, drenched in sweat with a scream. Nancy loved Jonathan, it broke her heart when he broke up with her, but when he did break up with her she and Steve got closer. He ended up moving in with the Wheelers after a while because of his abusive parents. When Keith wouldn't stop talking about Nancy they made a plan, they would fake a relationship. Steve loved Nancy still, but they were only faking this relationship, yet he still loved it. When Keith finally left Nancy alone they stopped faking, going back to just friends. When Max gets possessed by Vecna his new priority was to make sure everyone was safe. No matter how hard he tried he couldn't do much, then one night, when they went to the Upside Down Nanch got possessed by Vecna when leaving. Steve can't lose her, they only kissed a couple hours earlier, he had to make sure she really liked him and she didn't just kiss him because of what he said about that dream. Will everything work out as they hope? Will everyone survive? Will Hawkins be okay? Will Steve and Nancy get together?
