Seventeen year-old Raven Livingston only wanted one thing in this world; Her arm. After losing her arm and both parents in a fire, Raven is left with only her schizophrenic brother, a charred house, and a deformity that costs her the dancing career she always wanted. When given the opportunity to get her arm back and make her brother sane, she goes for it. Soon, she realizes that getting what she wants comes with a price that no amount of money can pay, and must abandon all she knows in order to survive...

This is a story I wrote for school. It has been worked and re-worked on so many times I highly doubt it's anything like I originally saw it to be. It is written in the form of a diary, so it consists of dated entries and lots and lots of pretty small paragraphs. Each chapter consists of two to four entries from Raven's diary. As it is a diary and I like to keep things kind of realistic, the entries are very short. It's still in the process of creation and may take a while for new entries to be posted, as they all go through some pretty serious editing.

I entered the cave and saw a red crystal sealed in ice. "Woah." I whispered. The crystal glowed and the ice shattered. I jumped back and fell to the ground, watching as the ice broke completely. My eyes widened and I looked at my hands. "Did I do that?" I asked, but before I could answer, I heard a guard shout for backup as they had heard the ice shattering. I quickly jumped up and stashed the crystal in my pocket before leaving. I crept to the cave the following day, putting the crystal back into the remains of the ice pillar. As I walked away, the crystal fell, causing it to break into a million pieces. I jumped at the sudden noise and stumbled backwards, my eyes widening as a black smog formed around the crystal. "No, no, no, no! Frick." I desperately tried to grab the remains of the crystal, causing one to cut my hand. "Ow! Shit." I whispered, looking at my bleeding hand. "Tch, tch, tch, poor child." A demonic voice said. I looked up and saw that the black smog had two red eyes and a wide, sick smile that was dripping with venom. "I- who are you?" I asked, backing up. "The one who can help you out of here." It said, stretching out a hand. I looked it up and down and before I could answer, its hand plunged into my heart, causing me to scream out in pain. At her new school, The Academy for the Gifted, Rae is faced with a few challenges by trying to survive high school like any other normal teenager with her two best friends. But in this new school with these new kids and friends, her past is starting to come back and because of it, she has to deal with new problems while also trying to figure out who she really is and the truth behind those fractured memories. -------------------------------------------------------- There is some swearing in this book so you have been warned. And it's scarier, bigger, faster and badder than end type of alpha werewolf they've ever seen.
