Caroline Danes

Caroline Victoria Danes was born to Lorelai Gilmore and Luke Danes. She was born 10 months after Rory was, Caroline was born on August 15, 1985. She was born a month before her due date. Caroline was the result of a one night fling between her at the time 16 year old mother and 19 year old father. When Caroline was born, Lorelai gave her to Luke cause she couldn't handle two small children working at the independence inn and living in the shed at the back of the property so Luke took in his daughter. Lorelai wasn't there for most of Caroline's childhood, Lorelai didn't come back into Care's life until She was 27 and Caroline was 10. After that Lorelai wanted Caroline to move into her house with her and Rory and she's been living there ever since she was 10.

When Caroline was 11, Nikki Dugray moved to Stars Hollow from Hartford with her daughter Hannah and one of her sons, Austin Dugray. Nikki and her husband Lincoln separated and Nikki moved to Stars Hollow with Hannah and Austin, while Lincoln stayed in Hartford with their eldest son Tristin. Caroline quickly became really good friends to Nikki, Hannah and Austin. Her and Austin actually became best friends and shortly after Caroline's 13th birthday, her and Austin started dating up until Summer of 1999 when Austin broke Caroline's heart and him, Nikki & Hannah moved back to Hartford cause Nikki and Lincoln got back together.

Caroline is now 15. She has a great relationship with her mother and sister. She has a best friend, Lane Kim who's also best friends with Rory. She has a great relationship with her dad and she works at their family diner after school and once in a while will work at the inn.
