Dipper has been locked away in a tower since he was captured as a baby. His magic filled blood has given him different kinds of abilities, and Stanford, uses one of the abilities to keep himself young.

At the age of 18, Dipper becomes curious about the outside world, and when someone new comes to his tower, he doesn't hesitate to ask him to see the stars.
