This is a work in progress. It will take a long time and many hiatuses for me to finish it. I intend to complete the first act before December, but I promise nothing more. Not like anyone reads my stuff anyway. I've set the story in an alternate reality. The main inspirations for the world are probably "Castle in the Sky," "Final Fantasy," and "Metropolis." There's a lot of steampunk, and while some thought is put into the logistics of how technology works, I won't focus on it much. Technology is vaguely 19th and 20th century, and it's meant to be Earth, but the geography is slightly different. There are a few other differences in their history, but those will become obvious as you read. Act I: Part I will focus on Julio, a young and ambitious historian from Sainte Marie in Gaul, as he meets Kallista, a Spartan girl. They mix like oil and water, but must learn to work together as the long journey to Athens introduces several obstacles that threaten their safety.
