What if Mono stayed in the Wilderness? What if Seven survived the Maw and went to the Wilderness? What if Mono and Seven become friends instead of Six?
Basically this is from a series of "what if" questions that I attempt to answer. I might have also added a bit of romance to liven it up.

Mono is a small boy who lives on his own in the dangerous wilderness. He's been there for what seemed like forever, and it's come to the point where he can't tell the difference between living and surviving.
That was until he rescued another small boy, who knows more about the world than Mono could ever understand.
Will Mono and the new boy be able to survive this terrible world? Or will they find out how to actually live in it?

This is a Mono x Seven/Runaway Kid! Which also means that it is a boyxboy story! There will be no smut, and hardly any kissing, as these are children. Mostly nice fluff and some angst, because that's what I like.
If you do not like any of the stuff I just described, then please leave, as I will not make you read this.

Four Little Nightmares
Mono is doomed to a time loop after being betrayed by Six, and everyone thought that was where his story ends. But after encountering his younger self, Mono realizes that he's not quite ready to give up and is determined to find the Six that betrayed him from his timeline. Intent on revenge, he travels the Maw where he meets another boy named Seven, who was eaten by Six. Both are ready to confront the one who hurt them, but what if that ends up being harder than they expected? And not only that, but what if the Raincoat Girl survived the fall back at the Nest, and what if she and Six found each other again? A story based on revenge ends up being an adventure full of hard decisions, new friends, and uncaging the truth about what happened to their world. Mono never thought he'd work together with Six again, but will a new threat, the "Happy Man", change his mind and force the four characters to team up? Or will grudges and past traumas turn their lives into a nightmare? Characters are all 14 except for Six who is 13. A girl name Six-who's 16 years old-lives in a neighborhood with horrible, cruel people and kids who have stupidity and very disrespectful behavior. She has dark powers, which she can transform into an evil shadow of herself and she'll only harm the people or person who harm her or her friends. Six is known as keeping a secret as being evil for a long time, and she doesn't tell anyone, neither her friends, since she's afraid they'll treat her as a monster. Her friends look out for her and she tends to have a normal life until a boy name Mono-who's 16 as well-lives right next to Six's house and they become very good friends. One day, Six was walking down the street on the concrete until she saw a spark in her neighbor's house. She goes investigate then knocks on the door. When it opened, she sees her friend, Mono breathing so heavily. She asked if he was okay, Mono eventually replied with a smile, but the odd thing was, is when she saw a small line of static going up between his hair, looking like they were connecting together.
