'Hunnie I have something to give to you,' I looked up at Lisa, Jake's mum as she sat down on the chair beside me. 'I found it whilst sorting out some CDs to play for him. I opened up the first page and read no further cause I think it belongs to you.'

I watched as she took a beautiful black leather journal out of her bag and passed it over. Kissing my cheek she got up and left muttering something about getting a coffee. I ran my fingers over the book, debating whether to open it or not. I couldn't work out what it could be. Taking a deep breath, I opened the first page, tears pooling in my eyes and I read it.
