Ember loves her family, and she would do anything for them, but when she gets bonded to a dragon, she is kicked out, and is on the run.
Lexin just wanted to be the best heir to the throne he could be, but when he becomes bonded to a phoenix, he finds himself lying for the very first time.
Marie is abused by her parents, and her older brother left to join the army. When she becomes bonded to a winged wolf, she becomes a prisoner, trying to find a way to escape before she is executed at the summer solstice.
