Everyone's dreamed of running away at some point in their life, so I'm told. What happens if it's your only dream?
For the past eight years - ever since my parents got divorced - I've dreamt of running away from my life, aching for a reality different from my own. From what I remember, my family used to be picture perfect. Until the picture got ripped in half and dad moved over a thousand miles away.
Now my life is confined to the four walls that make up my bedroom. Summers that used to be for exploring the outside world are now spent exploring the worlds in books and my imagination.
Summers are meant for experiencing freedom, not longing for it.

My Life
This would be really boring. You don't need to waste time reading this. Not just boring, it might be even heartbreaking. The story was still going on, and therefore I had no idea whether it would end in a tragedy or not, but I had a feeling it would. And it did. We broke up under the striking, burning sun of 19th September, 2016. I write usually in a monotone description, therefore don't judge if you read this. My name is Rue, and I wish my life could be like the picture I put as a cover of my story, colourful, calm, and with a soulmate who keeps loving me all the way. However, things never happen as what we would like them to happen. I don't love my life, but I want to remember all that once happened. This is my original story but there are some similarities to her's, so please go show her stories some love because she definitely deserves it. Runawaying from Redshore city wasn't my plan but I felt trapped in that city. You never could make it unless you had connections or were from a famous family and that's not how I wanted it to go. I love to sing and my best friend got me into dance. Now I love going with the flow and letting the music take over my body. I ran away from my home with nothing but my skateboard, guitar and a back full with anything I could shove inside of it. Now I live in a studio apartment, making my own songs with choreography for them and casually posting the audio of the song or the actual dance video on the internet because why not. I work at a skate shop to help pay my bills and to stay out of trouble with the police since I've gotten in trouble with them a couple of times for street performing without a license. But like my best friend used to say, "You're only in trouble if you get caught" and I never did, so now I just chat up with them to pass some time or to help someone. When I heard of a singing competition I thought it couldn't hurt. I mean I might be able to win a nice prize and get some more publicity for my music, which was more important to me then some cash prize but it would be nice.Complete
