Murphy Henderson, the best friend of Jonathon Byers, protective, scary older sister of Dustin Henderson and hater of high school cliches. When Will goes missing and all hell breaks loose Murph is thrown into the centre of it, unsurprisingly this leads to a big realisation for her, she's a fighter, she will fight for her family and her friends.
Through hardships and heartbreaks Murph realises there's so much more to life than protesting the likes of high school. Ultimately, becoming the girl she knew her younger self needed, becoming the girl she knows her father would've wanted her to be.
The storyline here is about two star crossed lovers, Steve and Murph, who find they have inexpressible feelings for each other, as they navigate what becomes, their sacred friendship, through battling monsters and secret evil worlds, they realise they can't seem to ever find the right time to be Steve & Murph instead of just Steve and Murph.
Ps: This will very much be a slow burn, it's following the main plot of the show and no characters will be written out. I'll take any suggestions but the story is all planned out mainly. Hope you guys enjoy, I love you all hehe 💋

She spent a lot of her free time writing the Essays that her brother payed her to work on, the rest spent at the arcade with Josette or drawing with Will. She didn't mind though, Steve said that it helped him out, plus she got money for it that she could spend at the arcade and on candy. She did, however, miss spending time with her older brother. They spent a majority of their time together. That was at least until Steve fell in with Tommy Hagan and Carol Perkins. Now all they did together was sleep in the same house, and that was only on occasion. Steve refused to be seen with the clumsy middle schooler that was Lucy Harrington in public for longer that he forcibly had to. Even when Steve was home and not out with his friends, he acted like Lucy wasn't there. Moving into the small town of Hawkins during her sophomore year of high school wasn't a treat, but she didn't let it ruin her spirits too much. In fact, she even made some new friends along the way. Granted, most of them were in middle school and were major nerds, but that didn't bother her. She even joined in on some of their DnD campaigns whenever they invited her. It was fun, that was until one of the kids, Will, went missing. Along the way to finding him, (Y/N) befriends some people from her own school, including the goody-two-shoes Nancy Wheeler, and her boyfriend, Steve "The Hair" Harrington. She never really understood why everyone was obsessed with Steve. Or was everyone obsessed with his hair? She never knew. He could be a real asshole sometimes, too. But for whatever reason, she finds herself becoming closer with him the more they hang out.
