Our main characters are Koi, Ember, and Nicholas. The three go on massive expeditions to undermine the corrupt and terrifying truth of where they get their energy comes from, and the horrifying creatures made as a by-product. Koi has to figure out who took the life of her mother, and why the city of Skyline, is too far gone to rescue.
