The tale of Icarus, the son of the master craftsman Daedalus who flew too close to the sun. Whose wax wings melted. Who fell to his death.
Tommy was like Icarus in one way, his wings were his downfall. The wings were a clear sign of his power, Phoenix. He didn't know the danger and flew too close to the sun. His wings were ruined due to his weakness.
Tommy was too big a man to let that stop him though. He carried on. The sun became his wings. 
Icarus was reborn. A vigilante of fire who would not let himself fall again.
Vigilantes gotta eat too though, so what can an avian with partially hacked off wings do for employment without getting caught?

Vigilante!Tommy brainrot but Tommy has fire wings over damaged wings, Phil is bad at not adopting every problem child he sees, Wilbur is a bitch but in a fun way, Techno never dies, and Dream is actually a villain not just a corrupt hero.

He whispered out, he knew his brother couldn't hear him but he could hope that his words would travel into the afterworld to reach his ears. "Please forgive me." He wiped his tears away vigorously, looking towards the now-destroyed nether portal. "I'll finish what you started... I'll do what should have been done." Tommy lost everything. But that's not what really happened. Wilbur begged Phil to take his life but the blond had another idea. Wilbur was tired of being a hero. He liked to believe that he was a good hero, but being a good hero wasn't enough. It was never enough. Always compared to his twin brother, the golden child of the Minecraft Hero Family. Wilbur lived in Techno's shadow. He hated it so much and he wasn't sure how much more he could take. He wanted to be seen for who he was. He was Wilbur goddamn Minecraft, and he refused to let himself be a side note in someone else's story. Villains had one right; the right to choose a nemesis. When all her brothers have left home she decides to stay with Phil. Until one day when her brother's enemy needs some leverage and she is the perfect person. Now everything that he knew about life is upside down and twisted. As he is a magpie, his "bird-brain" takes over when he sees anything shiny, and he immediately wants it. It also pops up during great emotion, scattering his usual calm and cold reactions. His wings are tiny, not yet full grown, like they should have been because most avians are born with their wings. He doesn't know who he is, or what to call himself, and he no longer feels safe with the sudden new dangers around him, especially with his fresh wings to take care of. And now he is forced to play in a harsh competition of something like Minecraft where he has enemies from day one. At least he has Techno, his partner, who is only three years older than him, but he can't help but feel like the pink-winged avian could be a father. At least, until he realizes why that person wanted to protect him. And then he feels betrayed.

Tommy has watched his campsite be blown up 3 times in the past month and he's done. He's done with wars, done with violence, and done with fighting. How odd. The great Tommyinnit not wanting to fight anymore. So Tommy sends Ghostbur back to L'manburg permanently and assures him that he'll be back eventually, but Tommy knows that he won't. Tommy smiles as he watches Ghostbur fly away. Tommy goes to live in the Nether with the lava that he loves and no one knows where he went, not even Dream. It's been 3 years and no one's heard anything from Tommy, his exile had just been lifted. Tommy left a note addressed to Ranboo though.
