The coppery smell of blood from the dead bodies that plagued the air.
How was she the only one safe?
The girl hums a lullaby, a familiar tune. The sound of her childhood lover. He promised her the world but had his promise fell through?
All that was left of him was a small pendant she wore around her neck; inscribed with the words of a god, "Don't forget me", you see? If the memory of one the mighty are forgotten, all is lost.
And that's exactly what happened to Ms. Adeline.
