Nico and Will are together for two years after the war with Gaea when Nico is summoned for a quest. One night while Nico is gone, Will receives a dream from Apollo. A dream that warns Will of Nico's sudden death. Will brushes it off until he is told that Nico died on the quest. Will, overcome with grief, decides that he'll try and do the impossible. He'll go into the Underworld and bring Nico back.

Thanatos is annoyed with Nico, who made Hades mad at a jarring family dinner. He decides that Nico should have someone just as angry with him. Out of spite he takes the life of a camper Will was desperately trying to save. Will thought that something felt familiar about the death, but brushed it off to PTSD, he goes to Nico for comfort, it's always difficult to lose a patient. Then he talks to Nico and realizes what that familiar feeling is. Will is mad at Nico, Nico needs to get out of camp. He shadow travels to anywhere away from all his problems, and ends up in probably the most dangerous city in the US, Gotham. Oops. Now with his powers depleted, he has to try and find a way to survive in this city that reeks of death. After a few violent encounter with the locals, he finally gets some money and rents an apartment, expecting to be there for a while. Will he survive in this city of crime? Who was the mysteriously masked figure that was supposed to be dead? What is he supposed to do now? Sorry guys, this is my first fan Fic.
