Tommy was fine! He lived wraith Dream, who gave him food, water, a home.
Sure he isn't allowed to show his wings in public, but that's just to keep him safe.
When Dream has some unwanted visitors who have taken interest in Tommy's wings things start to spiral.

Now, he must learn how to trust his newfound family and find that it's okay to be dependent on others. But after so many years of only relying on only himself, Wilbur struggles to do that.
