After saving the Earth from the threat of the White Martians, Kara decides to continue with her studies and focus on her human life. However enemies start appearing all over Metropolis challenging the might of Supergirl. Kara, with the help of her friends, has to balance her hero identity and her civilian life while not revealing they are the same person.

She decided to become Supergirl for Barry. Then Barry woke up 9 months later with these weird powers. He also started being a hero, The Flash.
