Aspiring writer and unabashed loner, Ken Wright, is a second year student expecting another quiet year at the prestigious Astaril Private Academy. Yet, rumors of a troublesome girl known as a "Monster" have been spreading across the peaceful island school.

Through a series of ill fated circumstances, Ken encounters the cause of the rumors firsthand. Sonya Williams, an irritable first year girl, threatens to throw his private life into disarray. Motivated by the student council, Ken decides to help Sonya find her place in school and soon becomes an unwilling lackey in her mischievous plans.

However, Ken starts to suspect that there might be more his underclassmen than her moniker as Sonya slowly draws him out of his shell. It seems that, if they can work together and stay out of trouble, they'll have all the ingredients to make this school year a truly memorable one.
