I was cut short by him slamming me against the brick wall of the dark alleyway, before I even had a chance to react his hand twisted around my neck tightly. Inches away from my face he said in almost a whisper; "Say something like that again, Jaxon, and I'll fucking kill you." His grip around me tightened, the thought that this may be how I die kept racing around my head.
He slammed my head into the red brick then finally let go.
I doubled over with my hands on my knees, panting and coughing trying to catch my breath. The worst thing about this wasn't the blood I felt running down my neck from my head, it was that I knew he would do exactly what he said with no hesitation.
