He had been friends with Finnick since they were 12, They were both swimming in the cool oceans of the sea in District 4 when Finnick complimented Zuko's swimming. Ever since then the two had been inseparable. That was until Zuko and Finnick were waiting to be reaped and Finnicks name was called out. It shattered him and yet he watched as his friend went to the stage without a bat of an eye. When Finnick came back he was never the boy he used to be, he was plagued with the memories of the people he murdered, Zuko tried to be there as best he could and he could finally see his old friend come back. They were 17 when Zuko's name was called out.. Along with his sister. From there his world began to shatter around him. Even with Finnick there as his mentor.
