So in the year 1979. Steve Harrington, Eddie Munson, and Rosie Hopper, all went to middle school. That is where they meant each other. Since they shared the same classes. All three of them became close friends, and then in 7th grade, Steve and Eddie became more than friends. But Rosie had something called Age Regression. This is mostly due to the trauma she went through as she watched her little sister Sarah Hopper die of cancer, and the nasty divorce her parents had. Her mother wanted to take Rosie with her to New York, but Rosie didn't want to leave her father all alone. So their custody is split 50/50.

But Rosie's mother soon found a new man, who wasn't REALLY nice to her...he SAed her when she was 12, and when Hopper found out about it, he made sure Rosie's mother lost all her rights to Rosie. After that Steve and Eddie promised to protect her.

I know that Stranger things takes place during the 80s and that it wasn't very LGBTQ+ friendly during that time and that being trans wasn't as easy as it is today (as a trans man myself I am well aware that it still isn't easy at all but compared to the 80s it is easier) so I am sorry if it isn't super realistic, but the story is stranger things based either way so it cant really be realistic anyway.

Eventually, right before Eddie went into his third attempt in the summer of '85, she couldn't wait anymore and made the hard decision to end things with Eddie and go it alone which left him crushed. Finding out she was pregnant at 20 and right upon her arrival in Indianapolis was another huge bump in her plans for the future, even more so since she couldn't bring herself to tell the guy who's heart she shattered, making her own brother, Steve, swear to keep her secret too. Fast forward to Christmas 1989 and Y/N Harrington is returning home for the holidays for the first time since her now 3-year-old daughter, Juno, was born. Faced with the prospect of running into Eddie in a small town where nobody else knows he's the father of her child, it's gonna take another Christmas miracle to get through this holiday. - I was writing this as an EM short for my Imagines book but had too much fun writing it.
