Think Chinese era cultivation novels, set in the twenty-first century, reinventing the word vampire 
but Teen Wolf. That's how I'd describe Dra-gcon-as. 

Vampires don't really exist, then what were they? 

There was no surprise that after the coronavirus epidemic, more and more viruses mutated, using the earth's population as its guinea pig. 
Those that didn't die, survived knocking at death's door, but would never be the same.

These survivors evolved into what is now known as Vamp like bodies, and they reign.

Monster hunter Dominic Rhinestone is tasked with eliminating a vampire by the Ravengrove Town's Church. However, this vampire is unlike most he has encountered: A vampire who feeds not on humans, but on the town's livestock. But Dominic doesn't care about whether or not the vampire feeds on humans. A vampire is a vampire, and vampires had to die. To the hunter's surprise, he and this vampire may have more in common than he thought, in more ways than one. And as Dominic delves deeper into the world of the creatures of the night, he realises that they are much more human than he believed.

"Shift." His voice hit me like a serrated blade as he stepped out of the crude semicircle of hardened wolves that had formed around me.
