Struggling lawyer Al Hamblyn had more than his share of life’s misfortunes. Now a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity lands on his lap, the criminal defense of a real, live vampire. Hamblyn harnesses his fears and prepares to defend the vampire against overwhelming evidence.
This is as much courtroom thriller as it is a horror story. It contains lots of humanity, a touch of black humour and plenty of moments that quicken the pulse. The vampire, while likeable, is slow to share his secrets. When he does, it sends the reader reeling.
