Imagine, you aced an essay your school was holding for one student to travel abroad in Japan for a year. Not expecting to actually win I get called into the principle office who tells me the great news. She also informs me that I will be staying with another student and their family while abroad. Not really planning this I had only the weekend to pack my bags and anything I would need while over. Honestly I really just wanted to finish this school year at home, watching anime, and no one bothering me. "Shit, the plane is shaking and we are falling!"

There is something that you wish to explore even further within the canon, usually a "what if" question, 3. You have an original story that you want to push forward, and finally 4. There is something you perceive to be wrong with the story and you are correcting it. For me, writing this story hits all four points.
