Nadiet Kaylard, spent all her life, at the Sun Society, a place she deeply hated, where she had to pretend to be someone she wasn't.
Until her mother gets a job offer from the Rain Society, her father's land, a place they were banned from, now calling to them again. The whole thing looks suspicious but Nadiet can't possibly back out. Rain was her dream place, her paradise.
So at the very first of September, Nadiet joins the Rain Academy, the elite school. She can finally have real friends, learn something she's actually interested in, belong.
But nope. Just as everything seems to be going fine, a lightning strikes Nadiet exactly on her birthday. All medics, doctors say she shouldn't have survived, but she did, with a pernament scar on her back.
Though... the scar isn't the only thing the lightning gave her...

I am not very good at trigger warnings before individual chapters but there is mention of blood, cold abuse and parents divorcing. (But read at your own risk in case I mention something else. I have restarted this book. I wanted to make it easier to read and more enjoyable. I hope to make shorter chapters and update frequently. :) In the beginning Sylar has no name. No one cares. She's just another kid to fall into a system because she was an unwanted mess. A child that doesn't talk? Yea, no one care about that either. A shady group home filled with bullies and secrets? Yea, you guessed NO ONE CARES! To find friends in a place like this is unlikely. This place is built to feed off the fears of kids and their lack of parental role models. No one holds on to dreams for long in a place like this. You get placed here and you are as good as forgotten. Except when a couple shows up looking as out of place as an astronaut in a gold mine or a miner in space whichever one you prefer. This couple comes and shakes things up. Good or Bad has yet to be decided...only someone's bound to get hurt, someone's bound to be broken. The only question is will the wounds heal or fester and kill?Complete
