The crew on the SS. ARK, well the remake of the SS. ARK, had thrived for many years. Their captain showered them with success and riches - more than they knew what to do with. That all changed however when a certain Ex Navy soldier decided to pull the rug from beneath them, leaving them to the mercy of the law.

but what if that wasn't the whole story? 

Sonic is found by his mother, his lover is imprisoned and he is forced into the unlikeliest of situations. He finds out about his past, his absent father and even the history of his lover's crew in the unlikeliest of ways. 

What was thought to be bad luck turns out to be a series of planned schemes with one specific purpose, meticulously set out by a relative of Shadow's.
