When a Primordial God loses its divinity after being betrayed by his fellow Gods, it becomes corrupt and plagues the entire world in darkness.
A couple of millennia of its dark rule pass, and he is then defeated by a hero and the God's soul was purified and set to roam the void for eternity, but instead was reincarnated as the descendant of the hero.
