I never thought I'd fall for him, and I was sure he wouldn't fall for me. We were polar opposites. On one hand, there was me, Eleanor Phillips. Reserved, sarcastic, and smarter than a person two years senior to myself. On the other hand, there was him. Loud, outspoken, and loved by nearly everyone.
We never really shared genuine conversation. For awhile, we simply couldn't be bothered with each other. Then, around my third year, his fourth, everything changed. That's when my loathing started. How I detested him. To others, he was perfect. Quidditch Captain, a Gryffindor, easy going, and loved by all. To me, he was an idiot. He paraded around the school, wearing a dumb grin on his face. Nothing ever bothered him. That is, except me. My loathing turned into our loathing and that's where our whole story begins. The story of those who were less than friends. The story of those who were not even acquaintances.

As the new school year began at Hogwarts, the platform at King's Cross buzzed with energy. Students eagerly pushed their trolleys through the barrier to reach Platform 9 ¾, their excited chatter filling the air with anticipation of what the year ahead would hold. Onboard the Hogwarts Express, conversations swirled about the mysteries and adventures awaiting them at the castle. Among the eager students was Y/N, who, in her third year, would encounter Harry Potter-the boy everyone whispered about, the one they called the Chosen One. Little did Y/N know that her life was about to change. Danger, excitement, and heartbreak loomed as she was drawn into Harry's world-a world she once thought had no bearing on her own. Fate had other plans, entwining their destinies in ways neither could foresee. Amid the chaos, something gentle began to bloom between them, lingering in glances and laughter. And then, one evening, when words failed... "Y/N..." Harry whispered, his voice tinged with awe and something else-something hungry. His eyes flickered from hers to her lips, his face flushed but resolute. "Can I-can we do that again?" Y/N's cheeks burned, her hands resting lightly against his chest. "Someone might see us." "I don't care," Harry breathed, his voice trembling with honesty. "I don't care if the whole castle sees us. I've waited so long for this-for you..." -------- This story contains... - Disclaimer-> Smut or Lemon? You return for your 7th year to complete your education after the Battle of Hogwarts, hoping to reclaim some semblance of normalcy after the chaos. Though the war is over, its scars still linger in the walls of the castle and your home life would be just as painful: Your father, a Muggle, was victim to one of the many violent attacks during Voldemort's blood purification campaign, leaving him physically and emotionally scarred and many a question unanswered.... When you're unexpectedly paired with Draco Malfoy for a potions project, you're forced to spend more time with him than you ever imagined. Throughout your years at Hogwarts, you never saw Draco as an enemy, but as a school ground bully - someone whose sharp words and haughty demeanor always left you wondering what lay beneath the surface. He was enigmatic, always just out of reach, and though you'd never admit it, you'd always been curious about the real Draco Malfoy. As you work together on the project, however, a surprising bond begins to form between you and Draco. The walls that once separated you start to crumble, and you begin to see him in a new light. He's more vulnerable than you ever expected, and you start to realise that maybe there's more to him than meets the eye. What begins as mutual respect soon turns into something deeper, something undeniable. But as you grow closer, the ghosts of your past - the lingering trauma, the unanswered questions, and your growing feelings for Draco - threaten to undo everything. Can you move forward, or will the dark secrets of the past tear you both apart?

"You know I'm not a man of many wise words Chloe Potter." Said the boy, who I have always thought as rather dim "and I don't care who you are, or who you're related to..." "Ugh, where exactly are you going with this?" I rolled my eyes, looking into the amber flames of the fire that set homely and warm light around the room. The way the light danced across the walls made it seem as though the two of us were not alone. "The same way we've been trying to go for about two years" He said "come on, you can't really be that blind can you?" I paused, no idea what an earth he was talking about. I didn't reply to him, I just sat there. Refusing to talk to him, to give into what he was saying. He caught on and continued, as though my response wouldn't have mattered anyway. "You don't see the way he looks at you." I scoffed and tore my eyes away from the fireplace "and how exactly does he look at me, may I ask?" There was a sickening silence falling around the room as he sat in deep thought for a while. He joined me on the sofa and stared into the flames I had found comfort in looking into only seconds before. It was a small while before he spoke again and the words lingered around my head for an even longer time. It may not have even been what he had said, or even whether it was the truth. It was just the simplicity of it that made me want to hear more. "Like you're a wild fire and he's just desperate to burn." ---- *I do not own the Harry Potter series. *All characters and story lines belong to J.K Rowling (Besides Chloe, who is my own character) *this is set in the 4th year.
