~I stared at the rotund, golden man whose semi-gritty facial features were scrunched into a look of hatred in my direction. Of course, I gave him the same look, he's the very being that his majesty had informed me about and loathed. 

Even without directly looking at his hands, I can see the sparkling, golden sand whips basically sprouting from nothing in them. The scales on my body pricked up in alert. I wasn't exactly equipped  to fight at the moment. In fact, I wasn't even aware that the golden man would be here at this time. 

I simply squinted at the man and beat my wings to slightly back away from him. 

"Watch it, Snoozie, I'm not here to fight. In fact, I was just leaving. I'm sure you can imagine how irritated his majesty would be if I were to be late coming home?"

That didn't seem to convince the, now more irritated, Sandman not to fight, and before I knew it, the chase began.~

This will be my best attempt at a slow burn, Sandy x reader fic. 
I must inform you that chapters may be slow as well. I'm not exactly the most motivated person at the moment. I'm trying to see if writing this will give me a well needed boost.

He pulled me to face him and then got close enough to me that I was leaning against the edge of the cliff. The action was so quick he might has well have slammed me into the jagged rock. As painful as it was I was distracted by him. He had my arm held up on one side of my head like he was pinning me. His other hand was placed on the cliff on the other side of my head and he leaned over above me, I was intimidated, but not out of fear. He spoke in that gruff tone again, but this time he was close enough to my ear that I could feel his warm breath as he talked, "Oh, I think you are, sweetheart."
