In the kingdom of Tannor, there is a war going on. The foreign Kingdom of Viryad plots the down fall of Tannor, and each attack kills more and more people.

One night, a young family is caught in the crossfire when soldiers blow up the restaurant they were eating in.

Lord Grayson Hendrix happens to stumble across them and is able to rescue the youngest child and raises her as his own in the Palace.

Nineteen years later a delegation from Viryad arrive to negotiate a treaty, and Adeline and her friends are stuck with baby sitting duties instead of being able to enjoy The Games which were held every year in honour of their friend, Prince Alastair.
