Then, after the nine months of being in the hospital, she woke up. Then she ran. Her emotions hit, and she temporarily slowed down time in order for her to make a five mile walk in under three minutes. Call it, un-super speed if you'd like. She was confused. She had no clue how that happened, but she had to find how. Now, she was extremely smart. She did research. Then she saw many reports on the news about this man called "The Streak". She thought it was... Odd. The whole concept of superheroes and super humans. It was to unreal and childish for her. She didn't like the title 'superhero'. What is strength of will without the pain of perservance? Barry Allen wasn't ready to die that faithful night he confronted the monster known as Zoom in front of his entire team and the rest of the Central City, but that didn't mean he wasn't willing to. Though, fate seemed to find a much harsher way to provide retribution for his overconfidence in a way no speedster ever would've thought in their wildest nightmares to come true; For his entire waist down to become paraylzed, including his legs. Two weeks after the hauntingly humilating event of the century that was The Flash's televised defeat, Barry finds himself with a simple decision to make. One which will possibly determine how he'll spend the rest of his life; To accept his friends' encouragement and believe in himself that there's light on the other side of his injuries or fall victim to the darkness which creeps so closely behind his heart's every beat, threatening to consume the very man who was once his city's guardian angel.
