From The Beginning (ShirBert)

A Gilbert Blythe journal entry about his thoughts and feeling from when he first saved a red head in the middle of the forest within Prince Edward Island.

It was then, in class when he attempted to get her attention- that he got viciously slapped in the face with a blackboard slab.

That's when he fell for her.
