          The year is 1943, but the world seems to be stuck in the past. With every major country on Earth being governed by deteriorating monarchies, technology obsolete and scarce, and values as old as Europe itself, things are looking bleak.
So when the English Empire attacks the still independent Scotland, the country seems doomed.
Until a certain person decides to take matters into their own hands. They're a genius, an extraordinarily rare mind, capable of possibly saving the country with their brilliant innovations! 
But, there's one problem...
They're a girl.
Fifteen-year-old, Esmie Crouse, to be specific. 
Esmie's been told her entire life what she can and cannot be. But she refuses to stand idly by and watch everything she loves fall.  
Dawning a disguise, she travels to the city of Edinburg and begins working for the Royal Family, building machines and weapons. But She soon comes to find that concealing her true identity might be the least of her worries. And that the entire country might be in danger from a force within. 

AN: So this is based off of the Harry Potter fic I wrote a while ago. This, however, is an original story and only contains original characters not attributed to Harry Potter or JK. I do actually want to publish this as an actual book at some point, and thought It might be nice to share my progress with my followers on Wattpad, since this site ironically rekindled my love for reading and writing.All Rights Reserved

This book is is written in the far future were war is raging throughout the world permanently halting all innovations. Humanity wanting to finally bring it all to an end only finds one way to solve it. End humanity as we know it. Governments across the globe found that humanity wasn't what it was before and had become dark and terrible to live in, so to fix that they made a small utopia pulling in families, scientists, and important government officials to create the perfect pair of humans. Those two humans would be trained to kill what humanity has become and start it all over, so the world would be a better place. But once they make the female, they find that she is not like her partner. She has a different goal in mind than restarting humanity. This is my first book, so it may have a few mess ups but I hope you enjoy, I have worked hard to at least get this out. Some are dark and morbid, even when everyone in your town talks about it. You swore to secrecy that they wouldn't tattle, but you sometimes can't trust them, even if something goes terribly wrong that the truth has to be uncovered....
