The day is August 11, 1872. Kathrine Du Pont's (Dew Pawn's) birthday. She is a quiet girl, different from others. She loves to study, read, and spend time alone in the forest. When she's not alone, she spends time with her only friend. James. James is the boy Kathrine's parents want her to marry. Both she and James do not want to get married at all.
