The Button eyes

While exploring his new home, a boy named Tommy discovers a secret door, behind which lies an alternate world that closely mirrors his own but, in many ways, is better. He rejoices in his discovery, until Other father and the rest of his parallel family try to keep him there forever. Tommy must use all his resources and bravery to make it back to his own family and life. :)
