The most elite unit in CPD. The unit everyone wants to be in. Intelligence is the place people work their whole lives to get to. Everybody wants the job, but nobody knows the truth. They don't know how the job manages to weave its way into your heart and tear down your life from the inside out until it's too late to stop it. Everybody wants the job, but without the pain. When Spencer agreed to transfer to intelligence, she wasn't signing up for all the blood, sweat, tears and pain it came with. But hey, it's a package deal.

Nobody is every truly a clean cop, are they? If you work under Hank Voight, you're somewhat dirty. Working in intelligence means that sometimes you have to get your hands a little bloody. A little dirty. It means that sometimes you have to cross lines. Sometimes you have to put aside your morals. Sometimes you have to flip that switch that controls your humanity and turn it off. If you don't do that, the job will eat you up and ruin you.

But maybe that's why that select group of people live for that job so much.

They're the ones that learned to love the pain.

They're the warriors who make chicago what it is. They're the ones who built that city.

They were born for it.
