Kyosuke Akuma was a born killer, bred and raised for two things: servitude and power. When he learns of his purpose, he flees to Japan where he settles in great! He got a great deal on his house-a free abandoned warehouse, can you imagine?-and already has two amazing jobs for his resume. Hero hunter and cafe barista, best of both worlds!

Still, Japan has more to offer him than instant noodles and government watchlists. At the behest of his master and caregiver, he enrolls at a hero school, the best in the country. Yuuei. There, he finds new friends, new mentors, new allies, even new enemies. There, he finds a home.

He would do anything to keep what he has now but his old life is never far behind him, and there are many who seek control over him and his quirk. Death comes for everyone, sometimes even itself.
