"Life is like the lottery. Sometimes you win, but most of the time you lose." Rose is extremely satisfied with her luck of the draw. She lives in Los Angeles with her famous father and wealthy family, surrounded by affluence. Leah on the other hand isn't as lucky. She lives in Carron, a small town with her alcoholic and neglectful father and her four siblings, they struggle to make ends meet. But when Rose's whole life is turned upside-down when her family move to Carron to live near her sick grandmother the two girls cross paths.
