The Tundra Games.

Hata is a young dracodai living in his hometown Cetastorm. His clan or species is known specifically as mercenaries, they are a useful ally in war, but when peace comes their popularity turns and are hated by all. Even by the ones who they served in battle. Most run off to Cetastorm an isolated town on the edge of their continent, but even Cetastorm cannot escape the government. With the population in this town coming to an all-time high, they founded the Tundra Games as a sort of population control in an effort to keep from having to expand to a new country. One person in a family must attend, but now that his brother died Hata must except the fact this time he is the one risking his life. will he survive and escape back to the safety of Cetastorm, or will he die trying.
