Raised on nothing but a consistently wasted grandfather, late 1900's rock bands, an electric guitar, and mugged grocery goodies, Eddie Gray's life was what most defined as a complete fuck-up.
After dropping out of high school, the boy spent most of his time either performing with his band for six to seven drunks in an ally or stealing from his local supermarket. Raised by a broken man that barely helped himself, the boy was lost in what his life was meant for.
On the night of Fourth of July, as the metal heads were on their way out to perform a show for the people, a sudden earthquake erupted. Followed up by a gloomy mist that surrounded the collapsing city around him; spreading an infectious disease to the few that were unlucky enough to have unknown symptoms to the deadly mist.
Before Eddie knew, he ran through the mist to find the life he had was gone. As the infected individuals became hostile, strong, deadly, inhuman, he was left with only three things to begin the fight for survival: the guitar strapped to his back, the nutrition bar in his left pocket, and a lost little girl.

Fantasy, horror, and science fiction are my favorite genres to read. They are also my favorite to write. I've enjoyed writing since I won my first writing contest in the fourth grade. It's a mix of all of my favorite genres. I've mixed a fantasy, based on present-day Earth, with plenty of graphic horror and wrapped it all up within a world driven by the technological advancements that only can be obtained from millions of years of civilation. A small group of strangers find themselves surviving in a decimated world. It's bad enough to be stranded in a no-name town, but things become surreal when you realize the vast majority of humanity has died...it becomes terrifying when you realize you aren't that lucky to be alive. "Survivor's Guilt" isn't a thing when you find yourself the sole food source for an entire group of beings that no longer need to hide in the shadows. Man is no longer at the top of the food chain...they are now the cattle.

But there can be such darkness hidden in that dynamic. Even those of cruel hearts can seek the power of a mate. And the damage they cause might not ever be healed. ***** Prologue: Drip. Drip. Drip. Though just as unwanted as the drops of water that fell too far out of reach. Unable to quench the dehydrated desperation chained to the wall. Drip. Step. Drip. Step. Only one set of footsteps. There was no question of the destination or purpose that carried them down the hall. Not that it was a surprise. It was always the same. First the pain, then the visit. The cell door opened to darkness. There was no energy to move, not even enough to will eyelids to open. Not that it mattered. The visit never changed. What more could be said? What more could be done? All that mattered was that stale, barely edible food was only given after he was done. Only then, could there be any comfort from hell. ***** WARNING- This story does delve into topics of kidnapping, imprisonment, rape, murder, and violence. He's not human and she knew that right away. When Jocelyn's life suddenly takes its downs and her life is in danger, he protects her, to the point to where he has to follow her. She finds out that he's from a race of Chaos made by the Angel Raziel, and that she is also one with two different powers but Chaos are only born with one, everyone thinks she's the new generation on Chaos. But when the enemy, the Foreshadowed somehow get their hands on her, her family secrets crawl out and reveal a power she has no idea existed. The man tells her his name finally but he also reveals a dark horrible secret from his past which traumatized him for years, then she feels like she's actually falling in love with him. He knows everything about her, the reason she became human, the two powers she could have, the truth of how her father died. He begins to protect her life with his own. She had only one dream, she wanted to feel loved, she wanted someone to tell her that they care and would love her no matter what happens. But little did she know that she was just another unfortunate soul whose mate had different plans. Caden was an young alpha. He had everything but where everyone was eager to meet their mate, he wasn't. He had already given his position of alpha female to his girlfriend. But after she left him, he turned cold and ruthless. But when he met Annie, his mate, one thing was clear. He wanted nothing to do with her. He asked her to leave but when she declined, he paid her no attention like she never existed. Annie was broken. The scent of the short teen used to have was gone, replaced with the putrid smell of death and rot that covered the whole room and the killer himself. Blood smudged all over the teen and onto the older man as he attempted to escape. He got hungry and tired. He just wanted to eat and then sleep. He was preparing the girl, cutting her body apart and tearing the flesh off the bones, which is why the room was such a mess with her blood. Now, he had the boy in his hands. The hunger overtook him. The sharp pain of large "canine" teeth being plunged into his neck made Cameron scream. It was cut short, his whole body freezing up as the crazy man sunk his large fangs into his neck, ripping a large chunk of the boy's flesh in between his teeth. The pain only got worse when he felt the killer tug harshly, pulling his flesh out... ----- A gang of delinquents becomes lost in a forest, pursued by a frightening masked figure. He hunts them down individually, resembling a stalking wolf, wielding a crude knife fashioned from animal bones. As they struggle to survive, the teens also grapple with the harsh environment that challenges them. She collapses down in front of me and runs her hands along my shoulders and down my arms. I close my eyes as she lifts my shirt over my head. "I can hear your heart racing," she whispers. I roll my head back as her lips press into my throat. I'm becoming so hot that it feels like I'm in transition. I run my hands beneath her shirt and up her back, pushing her closer into my throat. "Any requests?" she says. "Be gentle with me." "Really?" I smile before I grip the ends of her shirt and I tear it in half, all the way up her spine and all the way down the middle of her torso. It makes her gasp. Dead World
Note I'm highly uneducated and I've made this because I thought it'd be fun and that it was a good idea for a story. Lots of things in the story probably don't make sense such as people surviving certain injuries that should probably cause death but it's for the plot. There may be lots of spelling errors and lots of errors in general. After a night of drinking Samuel Clyde wakes up to find out that a virus has spread fast and he then travels to the city to find his family where he is then taken out of the city leaving his brother behind. After the murder of Meredith Barnes Cade Walker is taken into a police station where he stays as all hell is happening outside but he soon takes shelter in the station along with few days other survivors. Parker Jones and his friend Franklin go to a concert where Parker soon finds a man eating another person and the two leave immediately but franklin had been bitten and hours later the two end up in a refugee camp. In the happening days Sam and his group find themselves in a mansion with the Orleans family where they stay for days but soon tension rises in the group when a group of people arrive. Arabella and Noah find each other in the city witnessing the carnage and brutality but they thankfully escape eventually meeting a man named Nick who sheds light on his past revealing that he was apart of something bigger and Cade Walker ties into all of itComplete
