"Blake. What's going on?" She said in her mom voice.

I pushed the hold button on my phone and put it in my back pocket. I crept out of the room. I didn't know what to expect. Did I leave the door open? I heard a throaty moan. Oh god! There's some random people in my room and they are getting it on! Well, they are going to be getting a nice surprise from yours truly...

That's when I saw them. He had her pushed against the wall. His one leg in between hers. His hands were on her hips and hers were in his hair. I cleared my throat, making the brunette jump and shriek. The guy looked at me, up and down. He smirked, lightly, apparently appreciating what he saw.

He looked at me with confusion in his eyes. "Who are you?' He asked in a husky voice. He cleared his throat, blushing lightly when he noticed his voice was unusual.

"Who are YOU?" I asked back, a smirk in place. I put my hand on my hip before sighing loudly, bringing him back to wherever his mind was.

But what she did not expect was to show up on the first day of school to all three of her friends now in relationships. Fighting for their attention, catching some new and confusing feelings for long-time frenemy James, and wading through the pressures of post-high-school plans all have Lara reeling. And to make matters worse, Lara's beautiful and untrustworthy cousin conveniently appears and wiggles her way right between her and James' budding relationship. Feeling like a third wheel in more ways than one, Lara must learn to accept that change is inevitable, love is complicated, and being the odd one out is sometimes where inner power is found.
