Fireflies danced through the trees
carried by the breeze.
In swarms they played the circle game and
chased each other's playful flame.
The night was silent and I photographed their moves.
Like tiny air pilots they never seemed confused.
They led the way on the night walk through the woods
as we followed in pursuit of their games and goods.
The dreamy night and the quiet mood made it so memorable
as we shared food.
Some woods have a magical feel. On this night in July
I felt the connection through and through..
The best part is I can share that with you.
