A dragon born is someone who is born with only half of their soul, Kara, a young girl born on the mountain side,a Dragon Born. She is the last dragon born since her parents and village were slaughtered. A dragon born's other half soul resides inside a dragon. Kara's dragon is called Darius. He has gorgeous black scales and breathes purple flames, his eyes are purple as well. A dragon Born is not affected by fire in fact they can control it. Certain Dragon Borns can actually grow their own wings and tail. Sometimes they can even fully chamge into a dragon.

Haruki the black dragon prince. Haruki was born on the day of the full moon,so his scales are black unlike the rest of his tribe(their colors are usually red,green,and blue). Theblack scales are very rare and important. They give him defense and power. Haruki has a special power that he can not control. It is called "the eye of the mythical dragon Eithera". It is very dangerous so he doesn't use it. His father wants him to use it before he becomes king. He also wants him to get a mate. Haruki doesn't want anything to do with what his father wants.
