Brian Foster must be the luckiest kid in the world. Disowned by his family, dropped off in the middle of nowhere town of Cannet, and forced to be at Sea Gulch Military School with other boys he wants to tear the vocal cords out of. He's practically bouncing off the walls with joy.

But things aren't what they seem. Boys disappear from the school and no one bats an eye. Foster meets an odd boy who has his own motives for researching the disappearing. Worse of all, whenever they try to talk about the situation in the town, no one seems to care, shutting it down...

Will Foster and his new friend find out what's happening? Or will Sea Gulch just make him scrub the toilets again?

I have restarted this book. I wanted to make it easier to read and more enjoyable. I hope to make shorter chapters and update frequently. :) In the beginning Sylar has no name. No one cares. She's just another kid to fall into a system because she was an unwanted mess. A child that doesn't talk? Yea, no one care about that either. A shady group home filled with bullies and secrets? Yea, you guessed NO ONE CARES! To find friends in a place like this is unlikely. This place is built to feed off the fears of kids and their lack of parental role models. No one holds on to dreams for long in a place like this. You get placed here and you are as good as forgotten. Except when a couple shows up looking as out of place as an astronaut in a gold mine or a miner in space whichever one you prefer. This couple comes and shakes things up. Good or Bad has yet to be decided...only someone's bound to get hurt, someone's bound to be broken. The only question is will the wounds heal or fester and kill?
