Hathu struggles with his inability to contain his prime. It continues to raise its ugly head no matter how hard he tries to suppress it. He is also struggling with his decision to take a slave. The slave was supposed to help him contain his prime, but instead his prime has unleashed new desires for violence and domination inside him. Can he be redeemed? Is there even anything inside him worth redeeming?

Mik has been granted another chance at life, but he can't seem to find his place in this new world. All he wants to do serve the gods, to make his part of the world a little better for everyone, but he seems to keep making things worse. Is the law right? Is mindless service to other sentients the only thing Mik has to offer?

As Hathu and Mik each struggle to maintain peace within they find themselves at the frontlines of another battle. A coalition between powerful men and women threatens to destroy the Alliance which has maintained harmony between the many different species in the universe for almost seven hundred years. Can Mik, Hathu and their new allies stop this coalition that is determined to return power to the predators of the universe?

This is the second book in the My Kingdom Come series.

I'm writing this Nanowrimo style (writing and posting as fast as possible, no beta readers), so please excuse the unedited condition of the story.
