This book is made up of each of my daily struggles as a black LGBTQ kid growing up in a carribean home, I feel the need to add I'm the oldest child...those who know the struggle understand.
Each chapter is a representation of how I'm feeling at the moment, it can be a poem or simply a rant
I made this as a way to get my emotions out to others who may feel the same way I do so hateful comments will be ignored.
ANYWAYS, I love you guys and I hope my words get across to you all the way they should<3

The Invisible Eccdentesiast
Nyx Davis is a 15-year-old biracial, student-athlete, exploring life with her friends, Matteo, Viv, Kaylee, and Chris. Along with her brothers Denzel and Theodore. She begins her journey of self-discovery with her sexuality, identity, love life and mental wellbeing. High school isn't as romantic as movies play it out to be, but Nyx finds herself falling in love with people she'd never imagine. She maneuvers around the world within a community and school that has little to no diversity, along with stereotypes and racist ideology that seems to be at her every turn. On top of it all, her friend group seems to drift away from each other causing her to spiral with her thoughts because when it comes to those around you there are times where you think you really know someone but that's not always the case. New friendships arise and so does romance. Tension with her academics becomes more overwhelming than what she expected. Life is taking many turns, not just with her own life but with those around her as well. Read as everyone explores their own life secrets that they have kept in the dark from those around them. PS; This is an original novel coming from myself so I ask you not to publish chapters and take them as your own, legal actions will be taken if necessary. 7/26/2021~ The book cover is temporary as of right now. BROWN SKIN | BOOK 1
Many people don't know me, but I don't know who me is either. I can't tell you if I'm the loud or rude stereotypical black girl because Mom would say I need to speak up. I'm using my library voice with strangers. I can't tell you I'm the introvert because I like good company. I was born into a world that judges me before they get to know me. And try to attack the concept of happiness. I need it most in this filthy world we live in. I need you. Because you listened and didn't say a word. Just you being there was enough to make me believe you understood the troubles in my sentences and words spoken in a foreign language. I want myself back but I can't remember who I was. || Ebonee desires life to the fullest content as a brown skin but is constantly faced with life's realities that can never turn into her sudden dreams. As she is constantly faced with comparisons of her beauty, cruel judgment, and love she didn't expect it to turn out so unplanned in her premeditated life. || || Then there's Beau, who lives such a different world outside of the way Ebonee sees it as he tries to determine who is his out to kill him.
