"The Journey to the West" is the title of a book that belongs to the "four most wondrous classical novels" of China. The plot revolves around Buddhist monk Tripitaka, who travels west to India with his four disciples, including the famous monkey king Sun Wukong, searching for holy scriptures. The other protagonists are the half-pig, half-monk Pigsy, and the water monster Sandy. Tripitaka's noble steed is a white horse that used to be a river dragon.

TLDR: Wei Ying became a god, Lan Yuan also became a god, the dead get revived, a sect is made, and the Jins can burn in hell, not you three. Also, quick note I'm going to put here, this story tends to jump perspectives a lot. So, if that's not your cup of tea, this is your only warning. Also, Wattpad specific note: I know I have a bad track record of not finishing stories. I'm going to try to finish this one and possibly return to the others. It's just that I've already gotten to chapter 16 on Ao3 and thought it was a little unfair since I already have a Wattpad account.
