Riley and Samantha are two sisters whose lives took a turn for the worse when their father died very suddenly and tragically. Although they were all very close, it impacted Riley the most, causing her to have severe mental break downs. Their mum started drinking and abusing 15 year old Riley. Sam, her older sister, is 19 and wrapping up her case for custody over her younger sister. To wipe the slate clean, they're starting a new life in California where Sam's boyfriend, Dylan is welcoming them with open arms to help them begin their journey together. Can Sam and Riley be happy once again? Or will everything they worked so hard to build, come crumbling down before them?
